The University of Delaware’s Office of Educational Technology (OET) invites you to submerge yourself in adventure this summer at it’s technology-centered, fast-paced New Arc Academy!
Students will explore marine sciences, robotics, 3D printing and Scratch programming.

Marine Sciences & Structures:
To gain hands-on experience in marine science, campers will:
- Work in an anatomy lab to learn how shark muscles contract and internal organs function.
- Use microscopes to examine tissue and organism samples from Delaware coastal waters.
- Design and build a wind turbine, pier, or bridge structure.
Unleash your creative powers with LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 programmable brick microcomputers to create and command robots that walk, talk, and do anything you can imagine. Bring to life the TRACK3R, R3PTAR, SPIK3R, EV3RSTORM and GRIPP3R robots, and control your robotic inventions with various sensors and mobile devices
Create interactive stories, animations, games, music or art with Scratch, a programming language developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Think creatively, reason systematically and work collaboratively with Scratch!
Explore the world of 3D printable models that transform your idea into a three-dimensional object. Use Tinkercad to design and then print your creation!
